REPUBLIC OF VANUATU PAVILION

Vanuatu’s pavilion content was organised as an active itinerary rather than a conventional country overview. For Expo 2020 Dubai’s Mobility District, Simmetrico interpreted “Welcome to Vanuatu: The Key to Life Awaits” through experiences visitors could imagine: diving among Second World War sites, standing beside an active volcano, entering Tanna’s Blue Cave, climbing the Rock of Rah and hiking to waterfalls and banyan trees. These destinations connected to Ni-Vanuatu identity through festivals, dance, community traditions and knowledge carried across generations. Organic produce cultivated in volcanic soils added another dimension, showing how the landscape supports daily life and economic potential. Simmetrico developed the content narrative and visual language, with targeted visitor-experience enhancements that gave the presentation pace and clarity. By combining tourism, culture and agriculture within one accessible framework, the pavilion positioned Vanuatu as a distinctive Pacific destination where adventure and cultural continuity reinforce each other.
