REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN PAVILION

Water supplied the subject and organising logic for Simmetrico’s work on the Tajikistan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. In the Sustainability District, the theme “Water for Sustainable Development” was developed through the country’s glaciers, rivers, lakes and reservoirs, which hold much of Central Asia’s freshwater resources. The narrative showed how this natural system supports hydropower, agriculture and energy independence, while sustaining mountain wildlife and tourism around Lake Sarez, Iskanderkul and the Fedchenko Glacier. Dushanbe’s cultural development, Tajik cuisine and historical sites including Sarazm extended the presentation beyond environmental data into national identity. Simmetrico structured the content and visual language to make statistics and sector relationships immediately legible, complemented by targeted visitor-experience enhancements. By connecting water resources with productive capacity, heritage and future development, the pavilion presented Tajikistan as a responsible regional water custodian with significant renewable-energy and investment potential.
