REPUBLIC OF PARAGUAY PAVILION

For the Paraguay Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, Simmetrico translated the theme “Connecting Water, Energy and Mobility” into a narrative of resources in circulation. Located in the Mobility District, the pavilion traced how Paraguay’s rivers and wetlands support biodiversity, transport, agriculture and renewable electricity, with the Itaipu Binacional Dam demonstrating its clean-energy capacity. The narrative connected these assets to Guaraní identity through the official language, indigenous knowledge, Jesuit missions, art, cuisine and the shared tradition of tereré. Agricultural exports, livestock production, a young workforce and a favourable business environment extended the story toward international opportunity. Simmetrico developed the content narrative and visual language, supported by targeted visitor-experience enhancements that clarified the relationships between land, culture and economic output. This approach presented Paraguay as a strategically located country whose natural abundance and cultural foundations contribute directly to regional connectivity and sustainable development.
