REPUBLIC OF NIGER PAVILION
The Niger Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai required Simmetrico to condense a geographically vast and culturally complex country into a focused national presentation. Located in the Mobility District, the content narrative established Niger as a crossroads of West Africa, shaped by nine major ethnic communities and historic trans-Saharan exchange. Agadez, the Aïr and Ténéré reserves, the W-Arly-Pendjari complex and Niamey’s cultural institutions presented its architectural and environmental heritage. The Cure Salée and Bianou festivities, pottery, leatherwork, textiles and music demonstrated how nomadic and agro-pastoral traditions remain economically relevant. Forward-looking content addressed Vision 2035, solar electrification, transport infrastructure and opportunities across agriculture, mining, energy and housing. Simmetrico’s visual language and targeted visitor-experience enhancements organised these subjects into a clear journey from territory and identity to development. The result supported the official theme, “Niger: A New Perspective,” presenting the country through heritage, resilience and investment potential.
