REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA PAVILION

Simmetrico contributed to the Albania Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai by shaping its content, visual identity and visitor-experience enhancements. Located in the Mobility District, the pavilion took visitors on a timeless journey through Albania, presenting the country as an ancient crossroads between East and West. Its narrative connected the archaeological legacy of Butrint and Apollonia with the UNESCO cities of Berat and Gjirokastër, vibrant Tirana, and natural wonders such as the Blue Eye and Mali i Thatë. Traditional garments, intricate carpet motifs and botanical specimens created a tangible connection to Albania’s living heritage and natural identity. The experience also presented a forward-looking nation shaped by its Mediterranean environment, sustainable tourism and growing commitment to renewable energy, uniting Albania’s heritage, landscapes and future ambitions within one cohesive cultural journey.
